Postdoctoral
Research Associate:
A postdoctoral position in the general area of
plant comparative genomics is available in our lab. Funds are
available to support this position for up to three years.
Applicants should have a strong background in DNA sequence
analysis, molecular evolution, and/or bioinformatics. To
apply, please send your CV and a brief statement of research
interests to:
jmburke@uga.edu.
Research
Technician:
We currently have an opening for a Research Technician. The
successful applicant will be involved in various aspects of
our research, including DNA/RNA extraction, high-throughput
genotyping, DNA sequencing, and data analysis. This
individual will also be responsible for general lab
management, including ordering supplies, maintaining
equipment, supervising undergraduate researchers, and
otherwise maintaining an organized lab.
Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's degree in biology or
a related field. Prior laboratory experience is desired, but

inquiries are also encouraged.
Graduate
Research Opportunities:
Graduate student positions are available in our lab for
highly motivated individuals interested in pursuing a Ph.D.
in plant evolutionary genetics and/or genomics. Topics of
interest include the evolution of crop plants, the ecological
and evolutionary consequences of crop-wild hybridization, and
speciation/hybridization in the wild. Click through for more
